Red Violin Steakhouse

So the other night, my family and I made the trek to Broadview and Danforth to sample some of Toronto's only Brazillian Churasqueria Rodizio. This loosely translates to All You Can Eat Steakhouse. This shit was phenomenal.

It all starts with an antipasto buffet filled to the nines with all sorts of marinated vegetables and peppers. Olives, prosciutto, shrimp and fine cheeses round out this solid buffet. Pretty good on it's own but it's simply a warm up for whats to come.

Once you've finished your warm up, you're given a card that is green on one side and red on the other. Pretty self explanatory. Green = Go. Red = Stop. BRING ON THE BBQ.

Our dinner started with some chicken wings and chicken drums. At the same time the bbq started, they also brought out the side dishes: homefries, carrots, mushrooms, black beans and rice. Pretty useless if you ask me. Couldn't tell you how the stuff tasted because I never even touched it.

The next thing to come out of the Churasco bbq was some delicious sausage. Followed shortly by some bacon wrapped filet and beef ribs. Mexican style parmesan beef and pork ribs were next. Then came the king of kings. The sirloin. It had this seasoning on it that was just salty enough to keep you craving more.

I kept it on green as long as I could. I like to think I would have made any carnivore proud. Once I flipped my card over to red it was time for dessert.

I don't know how they did it, but they made a pineapple taste even better. Rolled in cinnamon and sugar and then bbq'd for 15 minutes so the sugar can circulate throughout the whole fruit. Man o man.

The cost is pretty reasonable all things considered. If you're going to do a night at a steakhouse you could easily spend well over the 50 bucks a head. If you havent checked this place out DO IT!.
